SUERC-10797
Sample CH06#41 Context 1644 Fill layer 1644 within House 1370 (within northern roundhouse). Deposit brown sand above floor layer 2003 and sealed by floor layer 1709. Site Phase 10. The cow's right femur is most likely to have been deposited as the result of activities in which butchered joints were deposited amongst the broken pots in this layer. Very little time is likely to have elapsed between the cow's death and the unfused bone's incorporation into the archaeological context of the floor deposit.
