NE Passage Grave. A piece of birch charcoal from one of three samples (S.6 - 8) from a small cutting inside the kerb of the north-east cairn, taken from the material of the core cairn, covered by rubble of the upper part of the cairn. Micromorphological analysis suggests that this consists of redeposited turf from the burning of the site before construction of the cairn.
