The remains of rig-and-furrow cultivation are visible in woodland immediately SW of Putachie Cottage (NJ61NW 11.07). Measuring up to 8m in breadth, at the SW end of the wood the rigs are aligned NW and SE, while at the NE end they are aligned NE and SW.
