A small standing stone 3ft 8ins high, 19ins broad and 6 ins thick at the base, where it has been packed with small stones. It faces NNW and SSE.

Activities

Orkney Smr Note

A small standing stone 3ft 8in high x 19in broad x 6in thick

at base, set in small packing stones and alighned roughly ENE-WSW.

Maximum height 1.1m, width 0.5m, thickness at top 0.1m, at

base 0.15m. Four wedging stones at base, one of which has

collapsed. Approximately 1m to the E is a pyramidal concrete

block 0.4m high, measuring 0.45m square at base and 0.35m square

at top containing a central pipe 0.15m in diameter flush with the

surface, inscribed C M V 1940 and G C, on opposite faces -

military. [R2]
