NT46NE 13 c. 49 69.

A Middle Bronze Age flanged axe (Coles' Class II, Haddington type) measuring 6" x 2 1/4" from Grant Braes was purchased from the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS] before 1892 (Accession no: DC 15).

(Long-flanged axe of Kirtomy type). Single find. Flanged axe, corroded, green surface, wall-stop, hammered blade; length 155mm, butt 25mm, stop-height 9mm, cutting edge 60mm; weight 475 gms. NMAS DC 15.
