A collection of eighteen account books, including estate rental 1758-76, 1719-26 and 1820-27, lease and tack 1757-1832, estate ledge 1820-26 and 1827-1900, charge and discharge 1759-81, 1857-93, seredent 1757-72, 1772-1818, copy letters 1757-76, leases 1820-42 and rental of Caravrock, also two other ledgers, mainly reserve sheet or half calf, folio.

Note. The volume of copy letters contains a large correspondence from John Syme, writer to the Privy Seal, to the Lord of Nithsdale and others, also included in the account are references to the building of hte new house of Terregles in 1788-89 (18)
