Osborne (2006) notes the existence of an 'armoury' near Pitlochry station by 1910, comprising a front block, rear block and hall behind. Garages to rear.
The building is of whinstone and slate. Single storey.
The building is now a dwelling, having been 'The Old Armoury' restaurant for some years.
In 1914 the hall was drill station for "A" Squadron, 1st Scottish Horse and for "G" Company, 6th battalion Black Watch.
