Site Management (27 October 2010)

Board school. Occupies street corner site. Tall 3-storey block, symmetrical front to Green Street, 3 + 3 + 3 bays, advanced centre; stone-cleaned snecked red Dumfriesshire ashlar, polished dressings, flat ornament, renaissance detailing to 1st floor openings; raised panel over centre; original glazing pattern, an individual design; entrances in deeply recessed bays on shorter flanks; at rear, big centre wing, its end semi-polygonal on plan. Individual slate roofs with red-tile ridging. 2-storey janitors LODGE at SE corner of playground, compact on plan, some render patches in stonework. Decorative wrought-iron gates and railings, low stone coping. (Historic Scotland)

Activities

Photographic Survey (August 2017)

Five disused Glasgow and Govan School Board buildings currently featured on the Buildings At Risk Register for Scotland have been photographed as a general record upgrade. Sites visited consist

of Haghill, Tureen Street and St James all of Glasgow School Board, along with Greenfield and Hill's Trust by Govan School Board. All surveys were external with the exception of Greenfield where the central hall was also photographed.
