Archaeology Notes

NT58SW 71 c.5380 8443

This small anti-aircraft training battery was situated on the N side of the railway at Ferrygate, nothing could be seen at the grid reference calculated and converted from the war grid.

It formed No.3 AA Command School, TI North Berwick P/038 058 and consisted on one holdfast. The buildings at Ferrygate (site of gasworks, NT58SW 43) may form part of this establishment, but this could not be confirmed on the date of visit.
