Treasured Places

The Treasured Places project invited the public, of all ages, to help RCAHMS celebrate its first 100 years of recording Scotland's places by opening the doors to a century of its treasures.

Public, schools and community groups were invited to interact with the RCAHMS collections, explored the material we held on their 'treasured places' and selected two exhibitions and a publication filled with items that interested and excited them.

One of the exhibitions was in the City Art Centre, Edinburgh from October 2008 and illustrated some of the most interesting items from the RCAHMS Collections. The Treasured Places Project was part of the centenary celebrations of RCAHMS (now part of HES).
