Dun, Totamore: Some slight remains of a dun are to be found on the grass-grown summit of a rocky boss which lies on the E edge of the sand-hills, 300m N of Totamore. The approach to the site from the NNE is almost level, but elsewhere good natural protection is afforded by the cliffs, up to 19m in height, that bound the site on the S and W. The boulder-faced rubble wall of the dun, which was about 3m thick, followed the irregular margin of the summit, enclosing an area measuring about 25m by 20m. At the present time, however, only a few fragments of the wall, including two courses of outer face on the NE, are visible, together with a well-defined entrance on the ENE. The entrance-passage, 3.3m long by 1.2m wide, is bordered on the N side by one course of large blocks, up to 0.7m long and 0.4m high, but only a single facing-stone survives on the S side.

This monument was noted as a fort by OS in 1972; it was in a similar condition to that described above.
